Limited edition packaging design for Ardbeg An Oa Single Malt Scotch Whisky. To be sold in the Swedish market we created a design that utilises lenticular printing to transition the pack from ‘stormy seas’ to ‘serene sunset’, bringing to life the concept of the Elements of Islay. Designed to work over the existing An Oa carton, the lenticular sleeve slots on top forming a cover for the standard box. When turned from side to side it transitions between two images. The first, a stormy scene surrounding the Ardbeg Distillery, the second a serene sunset. We wanted to capture the message that Islay is a rugged location and is subject to both extremes of weather! The images are a composition of various Ardbeg brand imagery, featuring quirky details such as Shortie the dog at sea in a dinghy.
